I used to love Alesis reverbs back in the 90's but they require a deft touch to avoid ruining a whole track. I have used them for special effects and they can be quite effective when done right and sparingly. I find for most purposes it is best to record the track without and reverb and then a line out to the reverb so that you can experiment without ruining a perfectly good vocal track. These units can still provide some use when used with a light hand.
I am a final year student of the RMIT Bachelor of Music Industry Course. As part of my major project I have created a home studio with which to record my own music. This website chronicles the process that was followed and the items used within the studio.
