Realistic are a strange company. Some of their mixers for example have been the noisiest most horrid pieces of equipment ever. Some of their microphones however, were simply re-branded Shures. This equalizer I know nothing about other than I found it with some stereo equipment dumped on the footpath around the corner. I took it home plugged it in and not only does it work but it works quietly and effectively boosts frequencies as required. I have heard that some of the Realistic equalizers were made by Fostex and this could explain how they seem to work without noise and hiss.
I am a final year student of the RMIT Bachelor of Music Industry Course. As part of my major project I have created a home studio with which to record my own music. This website chronicles the process that was followed and the items used within the studio.
