Part rocket, part microphone, this British Ribbon Microphone from the 1950's is a thing of beauty and also sounds pretty good. This one seems to be working well despite all of the fragility of old ribbon microphones and it has a lovely tone on acoustic instruments. It needs a good preamp to really bring out the best of the instrument and has been wired with a TRS plug which at least will stop it accidentally being fried by phantom power.
I am a final year student of the RMIT Bachelor of Music Industry Course. As part of my major project I have created a home studio with which to record my own music. This website chronicles the process that was followed and the items used within the studio.
